Photo consent
Where a photo of your child may appear, who decides, and how to change your mind.
The rule
No child appears in a photo anywhere unless a parent has said yes for that child in My Amana. The setting is per child and can be changed at any time; a change takes effect for anything published afterwards.
Where photos can appear
amana.kids program pages and This week at Amana; in-app announcements to families in the same program; a printed poster inside the center. Never amanahouse.org, never a social account outside Amana's own.
How staff know
The roster shows a small mark beside each child whose family has said no. Staff photographing a session check it first and crop or exclude accordingly.
Removal
Ask from My Amana or at the front desk and a photo comes down within one business day. Printed material is pulled at the next opportunity.
Before the first shoot
The photographs on amana.kids today are placeholders made for design, not real children. They are replaced by consented photographs of Amana children at the first shoot.
Amana House is an initiative of the Husseini Islamic Center of Orlando, 605 S Orange Blvd, Sanford, FL 32771.
